We recently introduced [RIP 7728: L1SLOAD Precompile](https://github.com/ethereum/RIPs/pull/27). This is a new L2 precompile that allows dapps on L2s to read from the L1 state.

In this talk, we will explain how L1SLOAD works, and we will highlight some of the most exciting use cases that this precompile will unlock.
