Since 2004, Hilmar has led CCP Games as CEO, championing the power of virtual worlds to create meaningful social connections. Under his leadership, EVE Online pioneered innovations like player-driven economies and community governance, achieving over 20 years of continuous engagement.
Previously serving as CCP’s CTO from 2000-2005, Hilmar has been honored across the industry, shaping digital economies. Active on various boards, he holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Iceland.
